Character Protection Areas

One important way by which the local community identifies itself is its cultural heritage, mainly represented by the built environment. The local community wishes to ensure that development in certain areas is sympathetic to the local historic character. To this end, the three areas below have been declared Character Protection Areas (CPA).

• CPA 1 - Maylands North
• CPA 2 - Maylands South
• CPA 3 - Mount Lawley
