Smart Clubs

Welcome to the City of Bayswater’s Smart Clubs Program.

The Smart Club program has been developed to assist club administrators to not only help their club survive – but also to help them flourish. Through a partnership between the Department of Sport and Recreation and the Cities of Bayswater and Swan, a Club Development Officer is available for all clubs within the City of Bayswater. The position is part of a network of CDOs located around the state. Their objective is to provide advice, training and support for local amateur club volunteer administrators.

Your Club Development Officer can assist you in a variety of areas, including:

• Starting a new club
• Incorporation
• All areas of planning (financial, business, future etc)
• Committee structure and roles
• Member protection
• Volunteer management
• Risk management
• Facility upgrades
• Funding, grants and sponsorship
• Junior development
