Have a Go Day 2017
The City of Bayswater partnered with Inclusion WA to run 'Have a Go Day' at The RISE on Sunday, 9 April 2017.
Have a Go Day is a free, annual community event, featuring stalls and activities to celebrate social inclusion and connect residents to local community clubs, groups and organisations.
The event is community-led, with involvement from local clubs, community groups and organisations via the Have a Go Day Committee, who meet to plan the event.
The 2017 event was well-received, with over 800 people in attendance. A range of stallholders showcased their activities including the WA Flying Disc Association, Maylands Tennis Club, Australian Model Railway Association and Blind Citizens WA.
In addition to the stall activities, the event featured a climbing wall, food vendors, face painting, hula hooping, bouncy castle, a prize raffle, and appearances by Adelaide Strikers cricketer Liam O'Connor and the Nova Casanovas.
Some highlights from the 2017 event are pictured below. Please stay tuned for next years event. For further information, please contact the Community Development Officer on 9272 0658 or at email@example.com.
