The RISE

The RISE is open to the public between the operational hours of:

6:00am to 10:00pm weekdays
8:00am to 6:00pm weekends.

The Library is open Monday - Saturday.

The One Stop Shop is open from Monday - Friday 10:00am to 2:00pm.

RISE is an acronym for Recreation, Information, Socialising and Entertainment. The name of this magnificent new centre, The RISE, therefore reflects both the wide-range of facilities and services that it will provide to the City’s residents. The scale of the facility places it as one of the City’s signature buildings

The opening of The RISE facility honours the Council's long term commitment to the community to redevelop the outdated Alma Venville Centre and to provide state-of-the-art community facilities.

The RISE is a landmark building for the future. It incorporates green building technology to make it more sustainable and reduce its impact on the environment. Its design includes iconic elements, such as the four towers, that will make The RISE a well-recognised landmark. Its versatility makes The RISE central to creating community cohesion.
