Aged Care Governance Committee

Council at its Special Meeting held on 21 October 2015 established the Aged Care Governance Committee for the purpose of making recommendations directly to Council in accordance with Regulations 16 and 17 of the Local Government (Audit) Regulations 1996.

Audit and Risk Management Committee

Council at its Special Meeting held on 21 October 2015 established the Audit and Risk Management Committee for the purpose of making recommendations directly to Council in accordance with Regulations 16 and 17 of the Local Government (Audit) Regulations 1996.

Avon Descent Liaison Committee

Council at its Special Meeting held on 21 October 2015 established the Avon Descent Liaison Committee for the purpose of making recommendations directly to Council in accordance with Regulations 16 and 17 of the Local Government (Audit) Regulations 1996.

The Avon Descent Liaison Committee has input in to the end of line finishing event and the Committee facilities collaboration between the stakeholders.

Community Events Advisory Committee

Council at its Special Meeting held on 15 December 2015 established the Community Events Advisory Committee for the purpose of making recommendations directly to Council in accordance with Regulations 16 and 17 of the Local Government (Audit) Regulations 1996.

The Community Events Advisory Committee provides broad strategic direction on City of Bayswater delivered Civic and Community events in line with allocated budgets and community expectation.

Community Safety Advisory Committee

Council at its ordinary Meeting of 23 May 2017 re-established the Community Safety Advisory Committee in accordance with section 5.8 of the Local Government Act 1995, for the purpose of:

(a) Monitoring and reviewing the City of Bayswater’s Community Safety and Crime Prevention Plan;
(b) Contributing to the planning and development of community safety and crime prevention initiatives; and
(c) Provision of advice on community safety and crime prevention matters as required.

Disability Access and Inclusion Plan Advisory Committee

Council at its Special Meeting held on 21 October 2015 established the Disability Access and Inclusion Plan Advisory Committee for the purpose of making recommendations directly to Council in accordance with Regulations 16 and 17 of the Local Government (Audit) Regulations 1996.

The Disability Access and Inclusion Plan Advisory Committee considers and makes recommendations on the implementation of the City’s DAIP and ensures that all members of the community regardless of their race, disability, age, religion or education level have access to all Council services, information and facilities, in accordance with the Disability Services Act 1993 and the Equal Opportunity Act 1984.

Heritage Advisory Committee

Council at its Special Meeting held on 21 October 2015 established the Heritage Advisory Committee for the purpose of making recommendations directly to Council on strategic and policy matters as they relate to heritage and built character.

Local Emergency Management Committee

Council at its Special Meeting held on 21 October 2015 established the Local Emergency Management Committee for the purpose of making recommendations directly to Council on strategic and policy matters as they relate to heritage and built character.

The Committee is established under the Emergency Management Act 2005. S.38. The structure, procedures and functions are outlined in the State Emergency Management Committee (SEMC) Policy 2.5 and reports to the Council and District Emergency Management Committee.
