Fast reliable Internet service is no longer a luxury; it's an essential business tool.
Having that tool is very important to both businesses and residents in the City of Bayswater which is why I attended a meeting recently hosted by Amber-Jade Sanderson MLA with Federal MP Tim Hammond to discuss the roll-out of the National Broadband Network (NBN) in our area.
The City has written to WA Senator Dean Smith to express its disappointment at the slow pace of the current roll-out, which is of major concern.
The current network is inadequate and has an adverse impact on local businesses by reducing their ability to leverage new technologies.
Concern regarding the slow space of the NBN rollout is also shared by the wider community. In an age where there is an increasing reliance on ecommerce and personal connectivity our residents rightly expect to have access to a first rate network.
The City will continue to advocate for the NBN to be rolled out with Fibre To The Kerb (FTTK) connections throughout our area as quickly as possible.
