The Big BOO-HAA of How to Adult
From de-stressing job interviews to selling yourself to prospective employers and even turning a hobby into an online business, the City of Bayswater's 'How to Adult' program for young people has it covered.
The 'How to Adult' program has been organised by the City's Youth Advisory Council and includes workshops on branding photography, resume writing, selling services and products online, as well as the use of smartphone technology and online tools to promote a budding business.
As part of the workshops, performers from The Big HOO-HAA comedy improvisation team will also be involving 14 to 25 year olds in an innovative and interactive session aimed at shaking off job interview nerves. The great thing about improvisation is that it injects energy and laughter into a workshop environment. That can be really effective in making learning memorable, as well as encouraging participation and the sharing of ideas.
The workshops take place from 3rd to 6th October 2017 and further information can be found on the City's website: www.bayswater.wa.gov.au/events.
