The City's annual Blue Ribbon Club Awards are now open for nominations.
The awards aim to recognise outstanding efforts by local athletes, clubs and their volunteers, with Club of the Year, Volunteer of the Year and Athlete of the Year awards all up for grabs.
Anyone can nominate a sporting club, volunteer or athlete they think is worthy of the award by visiting the City's website.
“Clubs provide people with an avenue to be physically active and involved in their community, so it’s a priority for the City of Bayswater to ensure that clubs have all they need to succeed,” Mayor Barry McKenna said.
“It’s also very important that we recognise and reward those who are doing fantastic work behind the scenes at those clubs.
"We have some very talented sports people and volunteers in our City who deserve to be celebrated for their endevours."
The Awards are part of the City’s Blue Ribbon Clubs program, which assists local sporting clubs to grow and develop by improving the skills, knowledge and practices of clubs and their volunteers, and is funded by the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries. It's proudly sponsored by Vicinity Centres Galleria.
Award nominations close at 4pm on Friday, 3 November, 2017.
