It's hard to believe but Christmas really is just around the corner.
So to celebrate the festive season and all the goodwill and hope that it represents, the City of Bayswater is holding its annual Carols by Candlelight concert on Saturday, 16 December.
Pack a picnic and invite your friends along to celebrate the spirit of Christmas with a new carols program at Halliday Park.
There will be a variety entertainment on the night for all ages including festive carols featuring the WA Symphonic Wind Ensemble and Sweet Thursday Community Singers followed by a fun Christmas party band.
There's also a rumour there might be a very special visitor in a bright red suit…Ho, ho, ho!
Mayor Dan Bull said Carols by Candlelight was a wonderful Christmas tradition that allowed friends and family to come together.
"Christmas is a fantastic time for people to celebrate each other and give thanks for all that we have," Mayor Bull said.
"Carols by Candlelight is one of the most anticipated events on our calendar and it really does get bigger and better every year.
"It's a really exciting time for children and the perfect opportunity to come together and celebrate everything great about our community.
"We also encourage everyone coming along to donate to our Christmas Food Appeal with St Vinnies for families in need this Christmas."
Carols by Candlelight kicks off from 5pm at Halliday Park, Coode Street, Bayswater on Saturday, 16 December.
Programs and candles will be available for a gold coin donation with all proceeds going to the St Vinnie's appeal. Food, drinks and ice cream will be available for purchase on the night.
Everyone is welcome to come and enjoy this festive community event.
Spot prizes will also be handed out to the best dressed children on the night.
