Sunset Markets in Bedford

I am delighted to announce that the Burundi Peace Band will perform at the City's Sunset Markets this Saturday, 21 April at Grand Promenade Reserve in Bedford.

The very presence of the band with their uplifting tunes and energetic dancing gives the event a distinctive multicultural feel. This is very much in keeping with the City's values that promote inclusiveness, and the development of strong and cohesive communities.

The Sunset Markets have a relaxed atmosphere and a family feel that make them popular with locals who come together to enjoy the wide range of attractions. Such events add vibrancy to the area, promote a sense of identity, foster community pride and reinforce social connections. These factors are all fundamental considerations when Council deliberates its events budget and our support for a wide range of free community events.

This Saturday's Sunset Market is in effect a mini-festival featuring market stalls, food vans, live music, roving entertainers and free activities for the kids.

The Sunset Markets at Grand Promenade Reserve in Bedford get underway from 5pm to 9pm. To find out more visit the City's website: www.bayswater.wa.gov.au/events.
