Councillor Column - A new strategy for play spaces

Posted on September 18, 2018

How we spend our time outside of work, school and other commitments is vital for our wellbeing. We know that Bayswater families love spending their leisure time outdoors in the abundance of parks, reserves and play spaces that surround them.

That's why the City is developing a new Play Space Strategy – to guide the planning and development of high quality play spaces in the area. If you use playgrounds, skate parks, public courts, nature spaces, or outdoor exercise equipment in the City of Bayswater, we would love to hear from you.

It's easy to have a say using the interactive play spaces map online at engage.bayswater.wa.gov.au. Here you have the option to 'drop a pin' on the map with an idea, issue or comment about your local play space. You can even see comments other users have left. If you would rather give input in person, there will be three 'community listening post' sessions held at the City's libraries this week, check the City's website for details.
