Municipal Heritage Inventory & Scheme List

6 - How does a place come to be listed in a Municipal Inventory?

Any member of the community can nominate that a place be included on a Municipal Inventory. Alternatively, the Council may nominate places for inclusion. The City of Bayswater Municipal Inventory was originally prepared in conjunction with a Steering Committee, with representatives from both Council and the community.

Heritage consultants were used to prepare both this original document and the City of Stirling Municipal Inventory. Every effort was then made to ensure that the owners of affected properties were notified of the proposed entry onto the Municipal Inventory.

The Municipal Inventory is a consolidation of these original documents and was prepared by the City of Bayswater.
