Regional Environmental Strategy

The Regional Environmental Strategy (RES) is an initiative of the Eastern Metropolitan Regional Council (EMRC) that was developed to ensure a sustainable approach to the future development of Perth’s Eastern Region, including the City of Bayswater. A holistic view for the protection and management of the region’s environment is taken in the strategy.

A new Regional Environmental Strategy is currently under development. The Strategy will be guided by the City of Bayswater and other EMRC member Councils to provide an overarching strategic framework and to guide EMRC environmental, natural resource management and sustainability activities and services for the period 2010 – 2015.
