Water resources and the water cycle are essential for sustaining life and ecological processes and also provide economic and social benefits. These benefits include maintaining biodiversity values, supporting recreational pursuits and providing spiritual, scientific and educational values.
On the path to managing water as a resource we must identify urban water which is water we use in our taps, and environmental water which is streams, storm water and wetlands.
The City is currently conserving:
1. Urban water through its Water Campaign ICLEA Project.
2. Environmental water though its Bayswater Brook Project.
