Following the close of polls at 6:00pm on Saturday, 17 October 2009, successful candidates for the one position of councillor in the Central Ward was Barry McKenna, in the North Ward for the two positions of councillors were Alan Radford and Graham Pittaway, in the South Ward for the one position of councillor was Sonia Turkington and in the West Ward for the two positions of councillors were Terry Kenyon and Marlene Robinson.
