City Of Bayswater

Trees

The City of Bayswater has around 32,000 trees and these make a significant contribution to enhancing the quality of our urban living environment.

As part of the City's reinvigorated commitment to our 'Garden City' ethos, Council has signed up to the Vision 202020 initiative, which sets an aspirational target of providing 20 per cent more quality green space by the year 2020.

To achieve this, Council has significantly increased its investment in tree planting and effectively doubled its funding for the 2016-17 financial year. As a result, over the next 12 months more than a 1,000 new trees will be planted to enhance our streetscapes.

This page has been created to help keep you informed about the greening of our City.

Over the coming months you will start to find more information on what greening activities are happening in the City and what both the City and you can do to support our urban tree canopy.
