Civic Centre early closure

The Civic Centre will be closed from 11.30am on Friday 12 December, reopening at 8.30am on Monday 15 December. We apologise for any inconvenience.

Bath Street Reserve

Bath Street Reserve overlooks the Swan River and is ideal for a picnic or barbeque with the family. There is access to the waterfront and a jetty.

      Bath Street Reserve overlooks the Swan River and is located on Swan View Terrace in Maylands. 

      It was well-known in the 1950s as an area for families to play on the sandy riverbank and to teach their kids to swim. The reserve now offers a different experience for families with a playground, BBQ and jetty

      Please note there are some things you can't do or bring to this reserve: 

      • Pegs/stakes are not permitted under any conditions to secure marquees and shade structures. Water ballasts or sandbags must be used to secure any structures.
      • It is an offense in Western Australia for persons of any age to drink in public, such as on the street, in a park or at the beach, so the City of Bayswater does not give written approval for the consumption of alcohol in a public open space.

      Please Note: Bookings are not taken for this reserve. Community use is on a first come, first serve basis. However, bonds are required for the installation of bouncy castles, baby animal farms and other childrens entertainment.
