  • OVERVIEW

Are you looking to cut down on food waste in your kitchen? Do you want to maximise value for your money and time? Have you been dreaming of an organised fridge and pantry that are both easy to cook from and use?

Whether you live a busy life, are passionate about sustainability or are a cooking enthusiast, this workshop is for you.

This workshop is in celebration of Seniors Week and National Recycling Week.

Join Waste Educator Laura Monisse for an engaging session on reducing food waste in the kitchen and learn practical strategies you can implement in your own home.

    Together, we'll explore:

    • The impact of food waste
    • Causes of food waste at home
    • How you can use produce from root to shoot
    • Different methods of meal planning
    • Smart shopping habits
    • Effective food storage techniques
    • Creative ways to use leftovers, and
    • How change starts in your own kitchen.

This will be an interactive session. You'll have the opportunity to share your experiences️, learn from fellow participants️ and develop a deeper understanding of the challenges, opportunities, and solutions of food waste.

You’ll leave the workshop with the knowledge, skills and confidence to embrace a more mindful approach to food planning, shopping, storage, preparation, cooking and eating. You'll unlock the potential to transform your kitchen into a waste-saving place.

Your workshop facilitator is Laura Monisse. She is a passionate sustainability educator, workshop facilitator and yoga teacher.
