  • OVERVIEW

Want to see what happens to your recyclables once your yellow bin is collected? Come on a tour of Cleanaway's state-of-the-art Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) in South Guildford, and watch your recycling be sorted for reprocessing.

    You'll get to see:

    • Cardboard bailers
    • Optical sorters that sort hard plastics into five different polymers for bailing
    • Bounce and ballistic conveyers to sort paper products
    • Separation of glass into two sizes
    • Sorting of aluminium and steel cans

Plus, see where your local recycling goes and why it's important to recycle as best we can.

This tour is free and available to City of Bayswater residents.
