Accepted items
The following items are accepted free of charge for City of Bayswater residents when suitable proof of address is presented, unless stated otherwise:
- Aerosol cans (empty, no spray paint)
- Bicycles
- Bulk household waste (no construction or demolition waste accepted onsite)*
- Cardboard
- Electronic waste - maximum 10 items
- Green waste*
The invasive pest polyphagous shot-hole borer has been detected in the Perth metropolitan area, and a quarantine area has been implemented to help protect WA’s forests, food and agriculture industries. All green waste must be securely contained for transport to the Baywaste Transfer Facility in a covered trailer/truck. - Vehicle lead acid batteries
- Engine oil - up to 20L only
- Whitegoods
*Up to 300kg per visit. Above 300kg will be charged at commercial rates.

As of 1 July 2025, aerosol cans and polystyrene are not accepted for commercial businesses.
The following items are not accepted due to the site's licence:
- Asbestos
- Construction and Demolition Waste*
- Batteries (except vehicle lead acid batteries)**
- Light globes**
- Mobile phones**
- Household Hazardous Waste (Drop off locations can be found here)
- Explosives, ammunition, and firearms
- Needles, sharps and medications
- Liquid Wastes
- Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacons (EPIRBs) and Personal Locator Beacons (PLBs)
- Tyres
*Construction and demolition includes bricks, rubble, sand, pavers, concrete, tiles, plasterboard and hardifencing.
