Thirteen parks across the City of Bayswater are now home to a range of outdoor exercise equipment, transforming green spaces into free mini-gyms for all to use.

Available for use 24 hours a day, fitness equipment can be found in the following locations:

  • Abinger Reserve, Morley
  • Allan Hill Park, Morley
  • Arbor Park, Morley
  • Bohemia Park, Noranda
  • Clarkson Reserve, Morley
  • Crimea Park, Morley
  • Hinds Reserve, Bayswater
  • Logan Reserve, Noranda
  • Margaret Reserve, Maylands
  • Maylands foreshore, Maylands
  • Riverside Gardens, Bayswater
  • Tranby Reserve, Maylands
  • Russell Street Park, Morley

City of Bayswater Mayor Dan Bull said the equipment aims to get local people out and about, improving their fitness and enjoying some of the City’s beautiful open spaces.

“Earlier this year we asked our community what they’d like to see in their parks and reserves, and this has been part of the outcome of that community feedback.

“With all kinds of different equipment and easy-to-use electronic instructions on our newer pieces, these additions are the perfect place to start your fitness journey.

“We’ve placed the equipment in spots that make it easy to work out without being far from playgrounds, or open parks for kids to play while you exercise.

“There’s even areas where the equipment is spaced apart for users to run or walk between different kinds of workouts in some of our bigger reserves.”
