Bert Wright Park will be a hive of activity on Saturday 23 March with the return of the popular Evening in the Park. The evening will be a celebration of culture; featuring food trucks, entertainment and music from around the world. Evening in the Park has been running in Bayswater for more than 20 years.
City of Bayswater Mayor Dan Bull encouraged the community to come along.
"There's always such a great atmosphere at Evening in the Park, it's relaxed, family-friendly, and Bert Wright Park is a beautiful spot to spend an evening in Perth's inner east.
"Enjoy tunes from the upbeat De Cuba Son, learn Chinese calligraphy, and try food from all corners of the globe – there really is something for everyone.
"Little ones will be kept busy with bouncy castles, giant games and a soft-play area.
"If you're visiting from outside the area, Bert Wright Park is just a short stroll from the Bayswater Train Station, and for local residents I would suggest walking or riding to the event if you can.
"This popular event is another way we're activating our town centres. I encourage you to visit one of the fantastic restaurants or takeaway food spots in Bayswater while you're in the area."
Evening in the Park will take place from 6pm to 9pm on Saturday, 23 March. Picnics are welcome, or dinner will be available to purchase from food vendors on-site.
Bert Wright Park is located behind Bayswater Library at 25 King William Street, Bayswater. Join the event on the City's Facebook page to stay up-to-date.
