It’s time to register your pet
Registration is due by 31 October.
If you share your home with a four-legged friend, you may receive a notice in the post to let you know your pet registration is due to be renewed by 31 October.
It is a State Government requirement that dogs from the age of three months, and cats from the age of six months, are micro-chipped and registered with your local Council.
Why do I need to register my pet?
By registering your pet, their information is entered into the City’s database. This gives us a description of your pet, as well as your details, making it easier to reunite you with your pet if they go missing. Your registration fees also support important animal facilities and services including dog parks, ranger services, and community education.
