As part of the City's Community Upskiller event series, the webinars - Not So Secret Women's Business - on September 3 and 7 will be led by gynaecological cancer survivor and women's health advocate Kath Mazzella.

Coinciding with International Gynaecological Awareness Day, the informative sessions will lift the veil on gynaecological issues and related mental health concerns.

City of Bayswater Mayor Dan Bull said it was important for people to become more comfortable speaking about common health issues.

"We are really pleased to be working with Kath Mazzella on these free webinars for our community," Cr Bull said.

"It is very important to start these conversations with family and friends and remove the stigma associated.

"Nobody should ever feel alone while going through health issues relating to gynaecology and we hope this workshop will help people feel more comfortable talking about it."

Ms Mazzella said she was looking forward to connecting with the women in the City of Bayswater.

"Creating a world where every woman has the opportunity, knowledge, confidence and support to obtain optimal gynaecological health is so important," Ms Mazella said.

"I'm pleased ot dedicate my time to raising awareness, especially as I have my own story and journey to share."

In addition to these webinars, the City will host a number of other free workshops as part of its Community Upskiller series.

Workshops will focus on managing club finances, attracting and retaining volunteers and much more. Bookings are essential. Find out more and register at bayswaterevents.eventbrite.com.au.
