Coronavirus (COVID-19) update
Apr 30 2021

The City continues to work hard to do what it can to protect the community and staff, and is taking steps to reduce the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19).

The State Government has confirmed the easing of restrictions for the Perth metropolitan area and Peel region, will end at 12.01am on Saturday 1 May with some transitional restrictions still in place until 12.01am, Saturday 8 May. In response, City's facilities will reopen, with the wearing of masks required.

The RISE and Bayswater Waves will reopen, including the gym, group fitness, aquatics, creche and swimming lessons. Patrons will be required to wear a face mask and sign into the facility via the SafeWA app or by completing a manual contact register.

Morley Sport and Recreation Centre, which is managed by the YMCA on behalf of the City, will also reopen.

Maylands Peninsula Golf Course and Embleton Golf Course are open with masks required only when inside the golfing complex.

Morley, Maylands (within the RISE building) and Bayswater Libraries have reopened and programs and activities will resume from Saturday 1 May, with the exception of English Conversation groups and the LETS (Learning English Through Storytime) program.

The Bayswater and Morley Community Centres will reopen and activities will resume as normal, with the wearing of masks required.

The City's customer service counters are open as normal. Customers will be required to wear a face mask and sign into the facility via the SafeWA app or by filling in a manual paper register. A capacity limit of 20 persons will apply.

I would like to sincerely thank our community and staff for the actions they are taking to keep us all safe.

Andrew Brien
Chief Executive Officer
