New library app makes borrowing easier than ever
The City of Bayswater has launched a new app for library members.
Using the City of Bayswater Libraries just became easier with the launch of a new mobile app.
This user-friendly app places your local library in the palm of your hand.
The app allows visitors to the library to bypass the service desk and self-check machine by using their mobile phone to borrow books.
Another exciting feature is the ability to use the app to scan a book’s barcode to find a copy in the library– a feature that could save voracious readers a few dollars when next browsing bookstores for the latest release titles.
Parents can also link their child’s library accounts to their own and toggle between them in the app to easily track holds and loaned items due to be returned.
The app links users to Eventbrite for quick and easy registration into the latest library events and activities.
Links to the library e-newsletter and City’s social media channels ensure users can stay up to date with everything happening in the library and wider community.
Those looking to join the library can use the app to create an online membership, giving them instant access to e-books, digital magazines, movies, music and more.
