Community concert postponed
The City of Bayswater’s Community Concert has been postponed.
The City of Bayswater’s Community Concert has been postponed, following the announcement last night that WA borders will not come down on Saturday 5 February as planned.
Mayor Filomena Piffaretti said the renewed border restrictions meant it was unlikely headline act Dami Im would be permitted to enter the state for the concert.
“While our border remains closed, the City has made the difficult decision to postpone the upcoming Community Concert,” she said.
“We appreciate this will be very disappointing for our community, but feel it is the best way forward given the ongoing concerns around COVID and WA’s border uncertainty.
“We hope to welcome Dami Im to our City when the border reopens.
“If you’re coming along to our outdoor Community BBQ Breakfast event next Wednesday 26 January, we remind you to wear a mask as per the State Government’s latest advice on maskwearing for indoor and outdoor public events on Australia Day.”
