Free barbecue event to celebrate community

The City will announce its Community Citizen of the Year Awards at a family-friendly barbecue.

Jan 11 2022

The City’s newest Australians will be welcomed at a citizenship ceremony and special community barbecue breakfast on Wednesday 26 January.

The Community Citizen of the Year Awards, which recognise individuals and organisations who have made a notable contribution to the community, will also be announced that morning.

The City will officially award its Citizen of the Year, Senior Citizen of the Year, Youth Citizen of the Year, Group of the Year and Outstanding Woman of the Year.

The free community barbecue has become a much-loved event on the City of Bayswater’s social calendar, and all community members are invited to celebrate the occasion on the lawns of the Civic Centre.

The barbecue breakfast takes place from 8am to 11am on Wednesday 26 January at 61 Broun Avenue, Morley.

There will be plenty of fun activities for all to enjoy, including live music and children’s entertainment.
