The Avon Descent is back for another year, and with it, the City's annual Finish Line Festival.

Riverside Gardens will host the spectacular end to the iconic two-day event which takes paddlers and power craft along a 124km marathon journey.

From 11am to 5pm, spectators can enjoy the electric atmosphere alongside a range of food trucks, market stalls and activities.

Four free activity zones will entertain all ages, with carnival rides, a dodgeball arena, go carts, model car racing, live music, face painting, roving performers and more.

Attendees are encouraged to bring along a reusable drink bottle to fill at the free water stations.

The City’s FOGO team will be onsite educating event-goers on how to dispose of waste responsibly, and WAAC will be collecting Containers for Change to reduce waste going to landfill.

Please note, dogs must be on lead in all areas of Riverside Gardens West during this free community event.

Riverside Gardens East (accessed via King William St) will remain an off-lead park.

Car parking will be available at Riverside Gardens, with access from Milne Street off Guilford Road. Alternate parking will be available at Riverside Gardens East, with access via foot through Eric Singleton Bird Sanctuary.
