Welcome to the summer 2022-23 edition of the Bayswater Beat.
Message from the Mayor
What an incredible few months we have had in the City, and there is even more to look forward to as we head into summer.
Recently, we were thrilled to officially open the waterplay elements at Maylands Waterland. It has been incredible to witness the redevelopment of this much-loved community asset, and with a beautiful parkland, playspace and waterplay features, Waterland is the place to be this summer.
With Christmas and the holiday season rapidly approaching, this is the perfect time to get involved with your local community. You can contribute to our annual food appeal on behalf of St Vincent de Paul Society and show your support to families in need. Details of where you can donate are on page 3.
You can also become a volunteer, which is a great way to meet new people and have a positive impact on your community. We are currently looking for events volunteers, so if you fancy going behind the scenes at Carols by Candlelight or the Bayswater Community Concert with Dami Im, make sure you express your interest.
On the back page, you will see the details of our summer festival series and the many opportunities to get out and celebrate with your neighbours, family and friends – I know I will be!
