Draft Local Bike Plan ready for community feedback

The City is seeking community feedback on its draft Local Bike Plan.

Draft Local Bike Plan ready for community feedback
Apr 21 2023

The City is calling for community feedback following a review of its Local Bike Plan.

The draft Plan seeks to develop a comprehensive and connected cycling network that encourages cycling as a convenient and viable transport option.

The City has experienced significant changes over the past few years, including upgrades to the City's cycling network and METRONET projects that have created cycling opportunities within the City.

The draft Local Bike Plan was informed by the community and is now open for public comment. An abridged version containing recommendations, initiatives, projects to investigate, proposed locations for end-of-trip facilities and changes to the Long-Term Cycle Network is now available.

The draft Local Bike Plan 2023 has been developed in partnership with the Department of Transport and is funded by the Western Australia Bicycle Network.

To have your say and view the draft or abridged versions of the Local Bike Plan, visit Engage Bayswater or complete a hard copy survey available at the Civic Centre or one of the City’s three libraries. The draft Plan will be presented to Council in May.

Submissions close 5pm, Thursday 4 May 2023.
