An updated service directory will link older adults to support services and programs in Bayswater and beyond.

Refreshed directory supports older adults and CaLD community
May 10 2023

The City has updated its Service Directory for Older Adults, connecting residents with a range of programs and services to help them as they age.

The easy-to-navigate resource promotes the support available both within the City and in surrounding areas.

For the first time, the City has produced the directory in other languages to support our culturally and linguistically diverse community.

Digital versions of the directory have been made available in the top three languages spoken in the City following English.

According to the 2021 Census, these are Vietnamese, Simplified Chinese and Italian.

Providing the directory in the top three languages is an action in the City’s Age Friendly Strategy 2021-2025.

The Service Directory for Older Adults will launch at the Seniors Information Expo at the Morley Community Centre from 10am to 4pm on Monday 15 May, where community members are invited to learn about the organisations, service providers and businesses designed to help them live a healthy, active and engaged life.

Printed copies of the Service Directory for Older Adults will also be distributed through the City’s Civic Centre, Community Centres and Libraries. Hard copies of a translated directory can be requested by contacting the City’s Coordinator Age Friendly and Volunteer Programs on 9270 4107 or community.centres@bayswater.wa.gov.au.
