Bayswater locals are invited to celebrate the outstanding contribution their family, friends, neighbours and colleagues have made to the local community by nominating them for one of five Community Citizen of the Year Awards.

The City has partnered with Auspire to present the following awards:

-       Community Citizen of the Year

-       Young Community Citizen of the Year (between 16 and 30 years of age)

-       Senior Citizen of the Year (over the age of 65)

-       Active Citizenship Award (community group or event that has positively impacted the community).

The City is also offering its own Women in Leadership Award to celebrate the important contribution women make to the Bayswater community.

The annual awards recognise the achievements of individuals in areas such as health, the environment, the arts and voluntary services, and highlight the value of participation in the local community.

Residents have until 4pm, Tuesday 31 October to nominate people living and working within the City. The City encourages people of all backgrounds to nominate, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, women, young people, those living with disability and people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.

Awards will be presented at a special ceremony hosted by the City in January.
