Bayswater town centre has received a glow-up thanks to the installation of a bright new mural, planter boxes and additional seating.

Located at 5-7 King William Street, the colourful mural by artist Graeme Miles Richards celebrates Bayswater’s Indigenous history, its connected community and proximity to the Swan River and transport links.

The mural was painted with help from the community and was made possible thanks to a partnership between the City of Bayswater, RAC, the Baysie Rollers Town Team and the State Government.

In addition to the beautiful mural, 11 planter boxes and benches designed by Respoke have been placed along King William Street, Whatley Cresent and Beechboro Road South.

The added greenery and seating options create a more welcoming town centre for visitors and locals to enjoy.

The City funded installation of the new planter boxes and benches as part of its commitment to improving the vibrancy of its town centres.
