Councillor Clarke has represented West Ward since first being elected to Council in October 2017.
Speaking at the meeting, Councillor Clarke highlighted the City’s Homelessness Strategy, tree planting program, participatory budgeting and redevelopment of Maylands Waterland as Council decisions she was most proud to have advocated for.
“On behalf of Council, I would like to thank Councillor Clarke for her many years of service and wish her the best of luck in her future endeavours,” said Mayor Filomena Piffaretti.
Council will formally consider the implications of Cr Clarke’s resignation at its next meeting on Tuesday 28 January 2025.
