The City of Bayswater is celebrating National Recycling Week with a lineup of free activities and workshops for residents of all ages from 11 to 17 November 2024.
Seven events will take place across the City offering practical ideas for reducing waste and living more sustainably.
This year’s program includes workshops on understanding FOGO, a sustainable clothing swap, and the benefits of modern cloth nappies.
For young residents, the City has partnered with Cleanaway to host Rubbish Truck Storytime, complete with a visit from a real recycling truck to engage children in the importance of recycling.
Those interested in learning what happens to recyclables after collection can join a tour of the Cleanaway Material Recovery Facility for a behind-the-scenes look at the recycling process.
The free events support the City’s ongoing commitment to waste minimisation by supporting behaviour change in the community.
