Read the spring 2025 edition of the Bayswater Brief.
I'm pleased to share some of the exciting things happening across the City as we work together to create a more connected, innovative and sustainable future for our community.
We recently adopted our new Council Plan 2025 – 2035, which sets a clear direction for the City across the next decade. This plan was shaped by your valuable feedback and reflects what matters most to you. Find out more on page 3.
Over the last few months, we’ve been busy making improvements to our green spaces. Riverside Gardens East is transforming into an urban forest, with several project milestones being reached, while King William Street in Bayswater will become a cooler, more inviting destination with the addition of 40 trees. Read more about these projects on page 4.
The City has made it easier for residents to dispose of household waste. You no longer need to collect a tip pass from the City’s libraries or Civic Centre. Head straight to Baywaste Transfer and Recycling Station along with photo ID showing your City address to drop off e-waste, broken furniture, small appliances, cardboard or garden waste. Find out more about this change on page 10.
Our Rangers and Security team have embraced a new look and a new name. Now known as Community Safety, this change reflects the team’s education-first approach to safety and compliance. Spot our Community Safety Officers in their new khaki-coloured uniforms across the City and read more on page 7.
