City seeks community input towards Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan
Dec 12 2025

The City is calling on community members to share their thoughts and ideas to help develop our Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) 2026–2028.

To inform the draft RAP, the City is working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, local service providers and schools, and will host a number of community engagement pop-ups at City locations.

Following this engagement period, a draft RAP will be developed and shared for public comment in the first half of 2026.

The RAP will outline practical actions the City will take to strengthen relationships, build respect and respond to opportunities with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to further its Reconciliation journey.

To get involved, attend one of our community engagement pop-ups detailed below or complete a short survey online.

Hard copies of the survey are available at the City’s Civic Centre and three libraries.

By completing the survey, you can enter the draw to win one of two $100 gift vouchers.

Survey submissions close 5pm, Friday 6 March 2026.

For more information and to take the survey, visit engage.bayswater.wa.gov.au/innovate-reconciliation-action-plan-2026

Journeys are taken together to achieve a common goal of a rich, robust future of closing the gap with an inclusive Reconciliation Action Plan delivered into the local community and the relationships between Nyoongar and non-Aboriginal people, stakeholders, City of Bayswater and their community – all working together.
