Bayswater Brief Autumn 2025
Welcome to the autumn 2025 edition of the Bayswater Brief
Message from the Mayor
In this edition, you’ll discover a number of exciting activities and programs showcasing the businesses, community groups and public spaces that make our City such a wonderful place to live.
This year, we’re proud to celebrate our thriving culinary scene with the return of the Feed Me Morley Food Festival. From 8 to 22 March, more than 15 local restaurants and cafés will share their signature dishes through guided food tours and offer special promotions through the City’s dedicated Food Passport. Read more about the festival on page 8.
On page 3, discover the dedicated locals who have been recognised as our 2025 Community Citizens of the Year and find out about the impact they have made in the lives of our residents. You’re sure to be inspired.
These April school holidays, we have plenty on offer to keep you busy, from workshops at the City’s Skate Park, to various volunteering opportunities, along with Auslan and writing workshops at our libraries. With so much happening around our suburbs, there’s plenty of reasons to get out and explore our City.
As we settle into 2025, it’s the perfect time to look for new ways to get out into the local community. Volunteering is a fantastic way to meet people, gain new skills and help others. Our Community Centres currently have some exciting volunteering opportunities available. Turn to page 9 to learn more.
