The City has adopted its new Council Plan 2025 – 2035, setting a clear vision for the next decade: Growing a connected, innovative, sustainable City.

Mayor Filomena Piffaretti said the Council Plan reflects the values and priorities of the Bayswater community.

“This plan captures what matters most to our residents, businesses and community groups,” she said.

“We asked people to share their aspirations for Bayswater over the next 10 years, and this plan ensures our actions align with those priorities.

“It reflects what our community values – welcoming neighbourhoods, thriving town centres, better access to services, protected green spaces, strong support for local business, and transparent leadership.

“As a Council, we’re committed to delivering the best outcomes for our community and working together to achieve our shared vision.”

Adopted at last night’s Council meeting, the Council Plan includes the Strategic Community Plan 2025 – 2035 and the Corporate Business Plan 2025/6 – 2028/9.

The Strategic Community Plan was shaped through focus groups, online surveys and face-to-face discussions with the community. It outlines a vision, outcomes and objectives across five key result areas: Social, Built, Natural, Economic, and Leadership and Governance.

The Corporate Business Plan puts these outcomes and objectives into action. It sets out a four-year program of services, projects and resources required to deliver them. The plan is developed through a Council-led business planning and budgeting process, informed by input from across the organisation and a series of workshops with Council.
