Bayswater residents can now make their homes more energy and water efficient by borrowing new energy audit kits from the City’s libraries.

Presented in partnership with Switch Your Thinking, the kits allow residents to learn how efficiently their household appliances are working and what changes they can make to lower their energy and water bills.

Each kit contains a power-mate for measuring energy consumption and running costs, a thermal camera to find gaps around the home and check fridge seals, a thermometer and a waterflow measuring cup. The kit also contains an instruction manual with useful tips to improve the efficiency of appliances.

The easy-to-use kits are available to borrow from Bayswater, Maylands and Morley Library as part of Switch Your Thinking’s Energy Efficiency Pilot Program. Kits can be requested through the City’s library catalogue.

Switch Your Thinking’s Energy Efficiency Pilot Program is funded and supported by the Western Australian Government’s Department of Energy, Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety.
