Community and sporting not-for-profit organisations in the City can now apply for funding through the 2027/28 Community Capital Request Grants Program.

The program supports local groups to improve City-owned facilities, creating safer, more accessible, sustainable and functional spaces for members and the wider community.

Earlier this year, Bayswater Morley Districts Cricket Club received $11,793 to install new security roller shutters at Lower Hillcrest Reserve in Bayswater as part of the 2025/26 program.

Within the 2026/27 program, the City has allocated approximately $34,000 to support the following projects:

  • Morley Youth Club – New air-conditioning in the clubrooms at Houghton Park
  • Perth Bayswater Rugby Union Club – New storage shed at Pat O’Hara Reserve

Previous projects have included accessible pathways and entrances, shade structures, flooring replacements, kitchen improvements, security upgrades and new audio systems.

Applications can be submitted through the SmartyGrants platform before 4pm on Friday 6 November.

Successful projects will be delivered within the 2027/28 financial year.

For eligibility requirements, guidelines and application information, visit the City's Grants webpage.
