The City of Bayswater is calling on local businesses to step into the spotlight, with nominations now open for the inaugural Bayswater Business Awards, to be held on Saturday 10 October 2026.
With 12 categories included, the awards will celebrate outstanding local businesses, recognise excellence and showcase the valuable contributions they make to the Bayswater community and local economy.
Mayor Filomena Piffaretti said the introduction of the awards marks an exciting new event to support and elevate the City’s thriving business sector.
“Our local businesses play a vital role in shaping Bayswater’s identity, creating jobs and driving economic growth,” she said.
“These awards are an opportunity to recognise the passion, innovation and resilience of the businesses that shape our community.
“Award categories include Business of the Year, Excellence in Hospitality, Excellence in Professional Services, Excellence in Sustainability and Best New Business, among others, ensuring businesses of all sizes and sectors have the opportunity to be recognised.”
Nominations will be assessed by a panel of judges, including Candy Choo, CEO of Leadership WA, Gary Martin, CEO of AIM WA and Charles Kobelke, CEO of Business News.
Nominations will close on Friday 31 July with winners to be announced on the awards night.
