Community representatives and members of local sporting clubs and schools are invited to attend the City’s launch of the Sport4All program, an initiative dedicated to helping strengthen disability inclusion in sport, at the Morley Sport & Recreation Centre from 7am to 8.30am on Wednesday 1 July.
City of Bayswater Mayor Filomena Piffaretti said the launch provided an opportunity for the local community to learn more about the program's commitment to making sport accessible for everyone.
“We’re proud to be partnering with Sport4All to help make our community more inclusive. As part of the program, we’ll work with Sport4All to deliver educational opportunities and strategies to our local sports clubs and schools, to ensure people with disability are included in sport,” she said.
“This launch is a great opportunity for community members to learn more about the program and how they can support disability inclusion in sport.
“Sport has the power to bring people together, build confidence and create a strong sense of belonging. Through Sport4All, we’re helping ensure people of all abilities can participate, connect and thrive in our community.”
As part of the launch, community members are invited to enjoy a light breakfast, hear from guest speakers and learn how the program will support schools and sporting clubs to create inclusive sporting opportunities for people with disability.
The City is committed to creating a welcoming, accessible and inclusive community for people of all abilities, as part of Inclusive Bayswater, our Access and Inclusion Plan 2025 – 2030.
