Swan Lake and Jacobsons Reserve revitalised with play space upgrades
The City has completed play space upgrades to Swan Lake Reserve in Bayswater and Jakobsons Reserve in Morley.
Families across the City can now enjoy improved playgrounds at Swan Lake Reserve in Bayswater and Jakobsons Reserve in Morley, following $60,000 upgrades to each site as part of the City’s Play Space Plan.
Thanks to community feedback, Swan Lake Reserve now has new play equipment including monkey bars, a balancing tower and a find-and-search panel. Children of all abilities can enjoy a new all-abilities swing seat over soft fall rubber. The City will also install shade sails to help keep equipment cool and protect children from the sun during summer months.
Jakobsons Reserve has been revitalised with a brand-new, extensive playground catering to a range of ages also featuring an all-abilities swing seat. The existing picnic table has been replaced and a connecting pathway and pram ramp to the road installed, to create a welcoming, inclusive space for families to enjoy.
The City is committed to improving its reserves and facilities and developing inclusive play spaces as part of its Play Space Plan 2019 – 2029.
