The City of Bayswater is encouraging residents to plant for the future and create greener homes by offering free trees and expert advice at two workshops.

All About Trees will take place from 9.30 to 11am at Bardon Park in Maylands on Saturday 13 June and at Eric Singleton Bird Sanctuary in Bayswater on Saturday 11 July. City arborists will share their tips for planting and caring for trees, before residents can choose from a selection of species to take home from 10am.

“Trees play an important role in making our neighbourhoods cooler, greener and more biodiverse,” said City of Bayswater Mayor Filomena Piffaretti.

“All About Trees is a great opportunity for residents to learn directly from our experienced arborists and pick up a free tree for their property so they can help our natural environment thrive for years to come.”

A limit of one free tree per property applies and proof of residency must be provided. Trees become the responsibility of the homeowner upon collection. Event registration is essential.
