Our Community Rangers and Community Safety Officers work in close partnership with WA Police to support local safety, but they are not a substitute for police response. In an emergency, or to report a crime or suspicious activity requiring immediate attention, always contact WA Police on 000 or 131 444. Refer to the section below for more guidance on who to call and when.

Community Rangers
The City of Bayswater’s Community Rangers work seven days a week to support the community through education, compliance, and local law enforcement. They help keep neighbourhoods clean, pets safe, and public spaces respectful and accessible for everyone.
Community Rangers are often the first point of contact for concerns around animal control, parking, fire risks, litter, and off-road vehicles. Their role is focused on promoting responsible behaviour and protecting the community’s shared spaces through practical support and fair enforcement.

Off-road vehicle control – preventing unauthorised use of motorbikes or vehicles on city owned bushland, parks and reserves
Community education – providing advice and support to promote responsible pet ownership and local law awareness
Community Rangers provide a visible presence and practical service that protects community amenity, supports responsible pet ownership, and promotes a cleaner, safer environment for everyone.
