This March, we're taking part in the Rough Sleeper Count along with other local governments across Perth.
Rough Sleeper Count 2020
Tuesday 17 March
1am - 3am
The count will allow us to collect valuable data about the number of people sleeping rough throughout our City, helping to inform the City's Local Homelessness Strategy. We'll also be sharing this information with organisations to help plan support, services and work towards long-term solutions for people sleeping rough.
We can't do it alone - if you're someone who's passionate about the welfare of people in your community experiencing homelessness, this is an opportunity for you to get involved. We're seeking 50 volunteers to help out with the count on the night, which will include attending a briefing session on Tuesday 3 March from 5pm - 6.30pm at the City of Bayswater Civic Centre.
At the briefing session we'll give you all the information you need to record how many people are sleeping rough in an allocated area of the City. This includes an app we've developed to ensure counting is accurate and simple for everyone involved.
If this sounds like something you'd like to be a part of, fill out the form below by 5pm, Tuesday 25 February to put forward your expression of interest.
