Age Friendly Strategy

Age Friendly Strategy

The City of Bayswater's Age Friendly Strategy 2017-20 guides the City's approach in all of its activities to become an Age Friendly City and to ensure we meet the changing needs of our older community members today, and into the future.

The Age Friendly Strategy incorporates the values, principles and definitions of the Age Friendly Cities as outlined by the World Health Organisation (WHO).

Age Friendly Ambassadors

The City has engaged a network of friendly volunteers within the City of Bayswater community to link older residents to programs, resources and services that cater to older people's needs and interests.

The Ambassadors act as a conduit between the City and the community, and play an active role in connecting and encouraging residents to actively participate in community life.

The Age Friendly Ambassador program is proudly supported by the Department of Communities.

For more information about the Age Friendly Ambassador program or to contact a local ambassador, email ambassador@bayswater.wa.gov.au or phone 9270 4107.
