Services to support young people

If you need support, advice or just someone to talk to about a life problem, there are many organisations dedicated to providing support for young people.

Mental Health

Youth Focus is a WA-based not-for-profit organisation aiming to put a stop to youth suicide and depression. Their website has tips, activities and online support to promote positive mental health.

Headspace is the National Youth Mental Health Foundation, and they provide mental health services to 12-25 year olds. Headspace has transitioned to phone and online service provision due to safety concerns about COVID-19.

Youth Legal Support

Youth Legal Service provides free professional legal services to children and young people (under 25 years) in Western Australia. Their office is currently closed, but if you require legal advice, they can still help. Call them and leave a message and a phone number. Or you can complete an online form. Either way, someone will get back to you.

Homelessness/ Accommodation Services

Youth Accommodation Services (YASS) supports young people aged 15-25 who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.

LGBTIQA support

Youth Pride Network is a network for young people who identify as LGBTQIA. They are running ad-hoc online events for LGBTIQA and young people.
